Despite the U.S. Supreme Court’s refusal to step into Pizza Hut’s highly publicized legal battle claiming false advertising by Papa John’s, competition in the pizza category remains as combative as ever with Pizza Hut’s recent $70 million launch of Twisted Crust. The high court declined to review an appellate court decision that allowed Papa John’s to continue using its “Better Ingredients. Better Pizza” slogan.
