Opponents Argue New Italian Media Law Will Overly Benefit TV Consortium.

Jul. 13–A new media and advertising law in Italy, which took several more steps towards parliamentary approval last week, is causing yet another controversy for Italian premier Silvio Berlusconi. The company most likely to benefit from the new rules is his Mediaset group, which has three television channels.
